Turun seudun SETA ry or TuSeta

Turun Seudun SETA ry is the local organization for all LGBTIQ people in Turku area. We are a member of the national human rights advocacy organisation SETA ry that works for social and legal equality of all, regardless of sexual orientation and/or gender identity/expression. We are based in the city of Turku and provide services for the south-western coastal region of Finland.

A few facts about TuSeta

We organise a variety of activities where everyone is welcome, no membership required.

Evenings in English, "Rainbow Café", continues in January! The evenings will be held in the TuSeta living room on every other Monday. Check the dates from our calendar.

Our regular activities include:

  • Board game club, every Thursday, at our living room (see Office info below), starting from 5 PM. Throughout the year, even summer.
  • Evenings in English, "Rainbow Café", every other Monday. We meet at our living room between 6 PM and 9 PM. Everyone is welcome, we hope to see you there!
  • OMQ! Club evenings a few times a year, follow us on Facebook to find out what's coming up.
  • The LGBTQI Film Festival, Vinokino, organised every year around October–November in Turku and Helsinki. More information can be found at the Vinokino website.
  • Bowling a few times per season, usually on Saturday evenings.
  • Discussion groups and other small group meetings (e.g. youth group, Christian circle, trans-folk group, bears group, board games group, sports group and group for over 40-year-olds). The groups operate in Finnish, so the English evenings are a good place to start.
  • Education and training (e.g. for schools, vocational schools, public service officials etc.)
  • A library of books and DVDs including both fact and fiction. Mostly in English, come and check it out at the living room!

TuSeta Office

Our office and living room are located at Turku city centre, at Eerikinkatu 22 b B 20, 20100 Turku.

Ring the doorbell marked "TuSeta" on the left side of the door. The door doesn't make any sound as it unlocks, just pull the handle after a while. Inside, take the stairs on the left side. TuSeta Office is located at the Second Floor (one flight up).


Office hours:

TuSeta's office is closed from 8th of June till 8th of August 2017.

Tuesdays 12:00–17:30
Wednesdays 15:00–18:00
Thursdays 12:00–16:00


It's not the prettiest building from the outside,
but the inside is a different story altogether.
The doorbell can be found at the left side of the door,
where the (very faint) white arrow is pointing.
